About Venita Page
Pursuing God’s call of studying and teaching His WORD
Hello, from Idaho!
Let me introduce myself to you. I am Venita Page. My husband Brian and I have been married for over forty years. We met at church, got married, and committed to keep Jesus at the center of our marriage and family. We have an amazing adult daughter and son and a wonderful daughter-in-love. Homeschooling my children from pre-school through high school is one of my most significant achievements.
My History
We have lived most of our lives in southern California. Brian retired from the aerospace industry, and I left my on-staff position at church to make south-west Idaho our new home. We are thoroughly enjoying the beautiful outdoors; kayaking, river rafting, hiking, and gardening. And, yes, we even love the snow.
When I was six years old, I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior with the help of a neighbor's invitation to the Good News Club she led. In a family of unbelievers, God made sure I had the opportunity to grow. I received biblical discipleship over the years by incredible caring Christians who helped me develop my relationship with Christ through personal Bible studies, discussion, and prayer. Others trained me in ministry. I believe this is why I am discipleship-oriented. I love to take women under my wing and encourage their growth. To this day, I treasure my time ministering to young adult women individually and in community groups.
My Ministry
I received a call from the Lord to serve in the areas of Women's Bible Study and Women's Ministry in my early twenties. I have not strayed from these ministries in over forty years. Serving the Lord and His women is my heartbeat.
I have had the privilege of being a Bible teacher for forty years and a Women's Ministry Director for a total of twenty-four years. I also had the role of Bible Study Coordinator for a large Women's Ministry for six years. These leadership roles led to other service areas, such as; biblical counselor, counselor trainer, and writing and teaching counseling courses.
My Bible Study Tools
Hand in hand with teaching the Word of God came the desire and opportunity to teach women to study in-depth for themselves. To accomplish this, I developed a teaching course and handbook to help people learn the inductive study method. I shaped this course based on how to teach a Bible study; therefore, it will lead you to research a solid hermeneutical interpretation of scripture.
This course, along with its handbook, has successfully been used in numerous churches. I then wrote Bible-based homework that corresponds with the handbook. Together, they guide you into an exceptional inductive study journey.
As a Bible teacher who desired to see women study the Word, I often struggled to find solid Biblical homework materials appropriate for group sharing. I decided to try my hand at writing deductive homework and found a brand-new love!
My Teaching
Besides these marvelous opportunities, the Lord has frequently opened doors for me to speak and teach at women's events inside and outside of the United States. Retreats, conferences, and one-day events are a delight to my soul.
I consider teaching my principal gift. To make God's name great, make scripture understandable and relevant, reveal the plan of salvation, help women mature spiritually, and set on fire women's faith in our great God are my callings and purpose.
I hope to have the opportunity to serve you and your fellowship with Bible study materials or speaking at your event to God's glory.
In Christ's love,
